Here are two great websites for you to practise your spelling and maths. You need the same login for both. If you have lost or forgotten how to log in check with your teacher.

The teaching staff in Y3 will be Miss Cooper and Miss Lynas. We will sometimes be supported by Mrs Ridsdale, Mrs Peace, Miss Pipesku and Mrs Fowler.

Y3 P.E sessions will be Indoor P.E on a Tuesday and Outdoor P.E will be on a Wednesday. Please can you ensure that your child has a full P.E kit and is not wearing any jewellery.

To support learning in Y3 we will send a homework book home along with a ‘menu’ of lots of different homework tasks and activities. Try to complete one of these in your book every week and bring your book in on Friday for us to have a look! We will also give out spellings and times tables on a Friday for a test the following week.  Don’t forget to read every night at home. Practice makes perfect!

This term our topic is Tribal Tales.

Take a moment to step outside and stand quietly and still. Turn off all your technology and try to forget the modern world. Imagine this place 5000 years ago. What would you have seen?

Head back to prehistoric times (it’s a long time ago) to gather berries and hunt down dinner. Unearth ancient objects and visit astonishing mystical monuments that reveal the secret of an ancient time.

Learn how the people of Britain developed over thousands of years from the Stone Age.

In science we will be investigating light and shadows.

In music we will be creating sounds using Boomwhackers!

In literacy we will be writing about Stig of the Dump, including settings and adventure stories.
