Welcome to Y5 Inspire and Y5 Ambition!

The teachers working in Y5 this year are Miss Carline, Mrs Connolly and Mr. Twining.
The Teaching Assistant’s working in Y5 this year are Mrs Bratton, Mrs Siddall and Miss Robinson.
Y5s will be completing a homework project linked to their topic each half term. They can select options from their homework menu to complete each week. There will also be spellings to learn, reading everyday and timestables.
PE lessons will be on a Tuesday (indoor) and Friday (outdoor). Please ensure that your child has the correct kit for these lessons.
This half term Y5s have the amazing opportunity to take part in the Shakespeare Schools Festival. This year our chosen play will be Romeo and Juliet. All children in year 5 will be taking part in literacy work around the play. Some children will be acting and others will be joining the marketing team in helping to promote the play.
This half term’s topic is Alchemy Island.
It’s time to suspend your disbelief and open your mind. We are all going on a magical journey to Alchemy Island.
We will be visiting the imaginary Tudor Ancient Citadel and learning all about what life was like in Tudor times. During our visit to the city we will be learning all about the art of Alchemy and about properties and changes of materials.
Don’t forget to pack your imagination. Let the journey begin!
