We are currently taking part in a project in collaboration with Cape UK and Open Minds Theatre Company. The main aim of the project is to use drama and drama techniques to develop and deepen pupils’ language skills and therefore their writing skills. Y4s have been working with a drama specialist to help inspire their writing. Here are the highlights so far.
At the beginning of the year we took part in a the Shakespeare Festival.
Our Y5s performed ‘The Tempest’ at the Montgomery Theatre.

In November the Y2s went to the Crucible to perform as part of a Music in the Round production. The orchestra, who were called Ensemble 360, played the songs and Polly Ives read the story. They had a fantastic day performing with children from other schools.
